Thank you very much to the anonymous person who very kindly mowed, and or strimmed the area on the Village Green where the fruit trees are and beyond a couple of weeks ago.

We had asked our contractors to do this, but when they went to carry out the work they found that somebody had already done this, and said that the person had done a good job.

Charlesworth Parish Council Agenda 31st January 2023 ADDITIONAL MEETING at 7.30pm

Due to the bad weather on the 19th January 2023 we had to cancel the face-to-face monthly meeting and held an informal on line meeting.

This additional meeting which will be held on the 31st January 2023 at Chisworth Methodist Chapel at the slightly later time of 7.30pm is to agree the Budget and the Parish Precept.

Landslips following storms closes A57 Snake Pass

The A57 Snake Pass was closed on Monday 21 February 2022 following damage caused by torrential rain as Storm Eunice and then Storm Franklin battered the county.

Inspectors found movement in three locations along a mile-long section of the road and a decision was made to close the road from Fairholmes car park at Ladybower Reservoir to Glossop to protect road users.
